Tango for Advanced Beginners

Tango Introduction at Kaffitár

There is a drop in class for beginners on Wednesdays before the milonga hosted by the Tango Club Reykjavík. Singles and couples are welcome. The instruction is from 8-9; the milonga follows from 9-11:30. Beginners are encouraged to stay for the milonga both to learn from watching the more advanced dancers, and also to try out how it feels to dance in the flow of the dance direction. The cost is 500 kr and includes entrance to the milonga.

The Tango Club also hosts milongas at other venues such as Iðno and Hotel Borg, and there is often an introductory class at the beginning of these events, included in the entrance fee.
